Three ways to get Free audiobooks for your business
Have you ever wanted to listen to read the latest trending business or mindset book but as a small business owner you just don’t have time? That is where audiobooks come in. They allow you to listen on the go so weather you are in the car, out for a walk or doing a task in your business you can tune in and not have FOMO because everyone else is raving about that latest book. Audiobooks can be expensive and monthly subscriptions to audiobook services only allow you to download one book per month and what if you start listening and realise you don’t like it?
I love to read and when I am not listening to a podcast I am listening to the latest audiobooks. Here are 3 ways I have found of getting audiobooks with the expensive price tag. Full disclosure the first one is paid but you may already be paying this and not realise it comes with 15 hours of FREE AUDIOBOOKS per month like I did.
1. Spotify Premium
Spotify offers a selection of audiobooks, including business titles. While some are free, Premium users get additional listening time. Search for popular business books, leadership guides, and personal development content. You can listen while commuting, working, or exercising, making it an easy way to absorb new ideas. https://www.spotify.com/ie/audiobooks/
2. Libby/Borrowbox App
Libby connects to your local library and lets you borrow audiobooks for free. All you need is a library card. The app offers a wide selection of business books, including bestsellers, finance guides, and marketing strategies. Since it works like a library, you may need to place holds on popular titles, but it’s a cost-free way to access valuable content. You can also borrow eBooks, eMagazines and audiobooks through an app called BorrowBox. Once you have the BorrowBox app on your phone or tablet, you sign in with your library membership details. You can then browse what’s available and reserve or borrow eBooks and audiobooks. You can borrow up to 5 ebooks and 3 audiobooks at a time. https://libbyapp.com/ or https://www.borrowbox.com/
3. YouTube
YouTube has full-length business audiobooks, book summaries, and interviews with authors. Many channels break down key concepts from top business books in shorter formats, making it easy to learn the main ideas quickly. Search for specific books or browse channels dedicated to business education. Escaping Ordinary is one of my favourite channels for visual summaries of popular books https://www.youtube.com/@escaping.ordinary or seach for a title for example ”Rich Dad Poor Dad” + “audiobook” in the search so “Rich Dad Poor Dad Audiobook” and you should be able to find your book this way.
Bonus Tip
If you find an audiobook on YouTube and you want to listen to the book but don’t want to keep the app open (you usually need Premium to do this) here is a workaround I discovered. Download Brave Browser (it’s 100% safe) Search for YouTube in the app and find the audiobook you want to listen to click play and now you can close you phone and the audiobook (or any video) will continue to play on your phone. https://brave.com/download/
With these options, you can keep learning and growing your business without spending money on audiobooks. If you found this helpful I would love it if you could share our content with just one other person who may find it interesting. Send them the link to this or to my Instagram.
